For those of you guys who are enjoying "Wednesdays" which are basically wash-day times for most of the college peeps, this post is so much dedicated to you, and to all cool students out there who loves looking cool in school!
When #WashdayWednesday comes, everyone is getting their OOTDs ready and believe it or not, I too can still experience that overnight thinking on what to wear for that one glorious day for fashion-savvy individuals (haha). So, I decided to organize my sartorial thoughts and share to you guys my own views on how to get that casual yet chic kind of vibe for an outfit.
1. Keep it light.
You can never go wrong with a plain white shirt or those basic graphic tees. For me, comfort is key. It's humid and a bit crowdy in school, so better opt for comfortable pieces.
Snag that good pair of glasses and accessories (and hats!!) that complement your look.
3. Overuse that denim.
Jeans are ready-to-go bottoms for a casual look. When I am off to school, I always wear them because they match every shirt's color and design/style.
4. Get that sick kicks.
Be it that edgy athletic shoes (for joggers), that smart suedes and loafers (for trousers/chinos), or that rockin' boots (for denims or sweatpants), always have in mind that a pair of shoe can always make or break an outfit.
5. Layer if you want.
If you feel like layering your top with (the most common) plaid/checkered polos, then feel free to do so. It actually elevates your style especially that plain tee + polo combination.
The most important thing is that you feel good on what you wear. I always stick to my mantra: "It's not what you wear, it's how you wear it". Bear in mind that there are also dress code policies in your school, so better not take that for granted. Again, those are just my personal insights on dressing up every Wednesdays. Do you agree? What are your #WashdayWednesday OOTDs?
